Lebanon Valley College New Students

Writing Center and Peer Tutoring Information

Just some quick information for you all concerning tutoring for this upcoming semester:

To request a tutor, students should fill out the form at the following link: http://www.lvc.edu/writing-tutoring/tutor-request.aspx. The other option is to call x6799 and leave a message.

Desk hours for the Writing Center start Monday, September 7th. There are two writing tutors on duty from 6-10pm in Lebegern Learning Commons. No appointment is needed. Click here for more information.

Writing Tutors are trained to address and anticipate any writing needs, from prewriting to revising.

We have subject tutors for almost every 100 and 200-level class. For frequently-requested classes, we have Study Pods, which are led by a faculty-nominated student tutor (Pod Leader) who has successfully completed the course. For a schedule of all study pods, click here. *Study pods also start Monday, September 7th.

NOTE:  We also have 1-1 tutors available. However, for subjects that have a Study Pod, students will be asked to attend at least one study pod before asking for an individual tutor.

You might also want to check out our resource website Access4All. This site has writing resources, textbook resources, and all kinds of good stuff for you to utilize.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Elizabeth Julian, Director of the Writing Center and Peer Tutoring.
