Library Server Migration & Downtime Notice

Starting Tuesday, August 7th, Bishop library will begin a migration to a new library server and MSSQL Unicode database. The entire migration will take three days. We will go live with the new library server on Friday, August 10th.

During the migration days, there will be some periods of downtime. Also, library staff will have limited access to the library database.

You will still be able to check out materials. The public catalog will be available to search throughout most of the migration time, but you will not have the ability to check your account or place holds. A new library catalog app on the LVC Facebook page will also be unavailable during the migration.

When full access to the system has been restored on Friday, August 10th, an email will be sent out to alert the campus.

Access to other library resources such as databases, journals, and ILLiad Interlibrary Loan will not be affected by the server migration.
