A Victory for Constitutionality

Today, the Pennsylvania Court decided to grant a preliminary injunction halting the Voter ID Law from taking effect in time for the upcoming election. Needless to say, the social networking community has had a field day on each side of the aisle. Many are claiming that the law would lead to voter discrimination, while others claim it will help to prevent voter fraud. While either side surely has a case to make, the facts are simple. Judge Simpson has decided that this is not a matter that should be decided for the upcoming election. In his own words, Simpson say  “Consequently, I am not still convinced in my predictive judgment that there will be no voter disenfranchisement arising out of the Commonwealth’s implementation of a voter identification requirement for purposes of the upcoming election. Under these circumstances, I am obliged to enter a preliminary injunction,” he said.  Whether this is agreed to or not, the decision has been made at least on a temporary basis, and ALL WILL BE PERMITTED TO VOTE !!!!!
